I cannot even put into words how excited I have been over the past week about the London 2012 Olympics! It has been phenomenal to watch and I have literally been glued to the television.
In particular I have taken an interest into the rowing. In the mornings, I am sitting on the edge of the sofa, screaming at the TV "GO ON GB". So far in rowing we are doing amazing. Watching Grainger and Watkins win gold today was the best and most emotional thing ever! Grainger's first ever gold, and so well deserved! It was also refreshing to see Campbell get bronze, and he was so proud and emotional about it. I have to admit, I was crying too. Helen Glover and Heather Stanning created Olympic history, being the first women to be in a rowing final and win gold. How amazing! So proud of the rowing team of GB.
Now usually I hate watching any form of fighting, but I have really taken to watching the Judo. Today we saw our heavyweight Karina Bryant take bronze and yesterday we saw Gemma Gibbons take silver. Well done girls!
Now lets move onto the cycling. BRADLEY WIGGINS AND CHRIS FROOME YOU LEGENDS. They took gold and bronze in the time trail, and it was so emotional and amazing to watch. Wiggins goes down in Olympic history!
As for track... OMG IT IS MY FAVOURITE THING TO WATCH EVER. The excitement yesterday watching Chris Hoy and Co take gold for GB was sky high! I am so proud of them, and Chris Hoy is the best representative for our country imaginable. I literally want to marry him.
As for Victoria and Jess, I was gutted for them! Victoria has more chances though, so lets hope that today she can go out of her last Olympics with a bang!
The Canoe Slalom is one of the most stressful things to watch in my opinion. The water gushing everywhere, the speed. It is difficult to watch, but wow aren't we good at it! GOLD AND SILVER. Yeah boy. We are the best on that gushing water.
I have to say I thought we would be doing better in swimming, but we are putting in so much effort. It is just a shame that these amazing Americans like Missy Franklin and other youngsters are powering through the water, beating world records and taking the medals. It was amazing to see Becky Adlington take bronze the other day in the 400m, but I am confident she will get gold tonight in the 800m!!
As for the track and athletics. GO JESSICA ENNIS! I have a really good feeling about events in there, I mean why else would they make Jessica Ennis the face of London 2012!?! We are going to storm it in there, I can tell.
I also have a good feeling about the sailing, and I hope Ben Ainslie can achieve another gold. I am sure he will, and when he does, I will be so emotional, and I'm sure everyone in GB will be too.
Also, well done to our men gymnasts. Bronze is amazing, and I am sure that in Rio, that medal will be more than a bronze.
Unlucky for hottie Tom Daley and co in the diving. Amazing effort though, and I hope he gets what he wants in the individuals!
I LOVE THE OLYMPICS
